2-Day Mekong Delta Tour (tnb/mk2)

DAY 1 SAIGON – MY THO – BEN TRE – CAN THO (Eat two meals)

6:15 AM – 6:30 AM: The vehicle and tour guide will pick up guests at the designated meeting point in District 1, Ho Chi Minh City, and depart for Tien Giang, beginning the 2-day Mekong Delta tour. Upon arrival in My Tho city , guests will transfer to the 30/04 pier and board a Tien River cruise boat. Experience the vastness of the Tien Giang River, admiring the scenery of the four islets: Long, Lan, Quy, and Phung. The boat will travel along floating fish farms, allowing guests to learn about local fish farming methods and admire the Rach Mieu bridge. Upon reaching Thoi Son islet ( Lan islet) , guests will take a horse-drawn carriage ride along the village road, observing the daily life of the islet residents, visiting fruit orchards, enjoying the local culinary culture, sampling seasonal fruits, and listening to traditional folk music. Afterwards, guests will visit a bee farm for honey production and enjoy lemon honey tea. Next, you will board a small rowboat and navigate through the coconut groves, experiencing the pristine natural scenery of the Mekong Delta. Returning to the larger boat, you will travel down the Tien River to Ben Tre province to visit a coconut candy factory and a rice paper factory in Tan Thach commune. Then, take  a horse-drawn carriage  ride through the villages of Tan Thach commune, admiring the fruit orchards and the simple life of the people in this coconut-growing region. After resting and having lunch, you will continue your  Mekong Delta tour , visiting a fruit orchard (seasonal fruits). You will have the opportunity to enjoy fresh fruit and  listen to traditional Southern Vietnamese folk music and cải lương ( reformed opera ), a very distinctive cultural feature of tourism  in the Mekong Delta .

Guests will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant with authentic Mekong Delta cuisine, featuring signature dishes such as: crispy fried elephant ear fish with rice paper, salads, sticky rice, etc.

You will return to My Tho  by speedboat, then a vehicle will pick you up to visit  Vinh Trang Pagoda  – one of the largest and oldest pagodas  in the Southwestern region of Vietnam . Afterwards, you will depart for Can Tho city,  check into your hotel and rest.

Enjoy dinner on a Can Tho cruise ship , then have free time to explore Can Tho city at night. Overnight stay at the hotel.

DAY 2 CAI RANG FLOATING MARKET – CON SON ISLAND – FRUIT GARDENS (Eat two meals)

Guests wake up early  at 5:00  AM – the tour guide will accompany guests to Can Tho pier to visit Cai Rang Floating Market in the early morning. Here, the group will explore and learn about the unique lifestyle of the riverine people, where hundreds of boats and ships trade goods and local specialties, and tourists can buy and sell with the merchants of the Mekong Delta. Afterwards, guests return to the hotel to check out and have breakfast. The group will then continue to Co Bac ferry terminal . A ferry will take the group to  Con Son Island . Guests will visit Bay Bon Fish Farm , enjoy Thac Lac fish cakes , admire many rare and eye-catching fish species, and especially experience fish massage . Continuing the journey, guests will visit rambutan/pomelo or sapodilla orchards… depending on the time of year. Especially, guests will witness the amazing " flying snakehead fish" technique  of the farmers of the Hau River . Throughout your journey exploring and learning about the people and land of Con Son Island , you  will be warmly welcomed by the locals with a refreshing drink made from the leaves of  the Sa Ke and Dinh Lang trees  in their gardens, and have the opportunity to experience making delicious traditional Southern Vietnamese cakes.

Guests will have lunch at Con Son Community Tourism Village with authentic local specialties…

13:00 – 13:30 Departure back to Ho Chi Minh City. On the way back, you will visit a unique attraction, the " Purple House" (entrance fee not included). Afterwards, you will continue your journey back to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival in the city, the vehicle will drop you off at your original pick-up point.
