Can Tho/Con Dao Tourism (CT06)

DAY 1 CAN THO – CON DAO – CO SAU'S TOMB (Eat two meals)

6:30 AM: The vehicle and tour guide will pick up the group at Port No. 1, Ninh Kieu Wharf, and depart for Tran De Port (Guests traveling by speedboat from Can Tho will complete boarding procedures at Port No. 1, Ninh Kieu Wharf). Upon arrival at Tran De , the group will complete boarding procedures for the speedboat to Con Dao Island . After a 2-hour journey across the sea on a modern and safe twin-hull speedboat, the group will arrive at Ben Dam Port . The vehicle and tour guide will pick up the guests and transfer them to the center of Con Dao town . Along the way, guests will stop at Bai Nhat Beach for sightseeing and photos. Visit the memorial monument commemorating the largest armed prison break in Con Dao. Take photos of the beautiful Love Peak, a gift from nature to Con Dao. The vehicle will pass by Bai Da Trang (White Stone Beach) and Mui Ca Map (Shark Cape) before stopping at a restaurant for lunch.

The group had lunch at a restaurant featuring fresh seafood dishes characteristic of Con Dao cuisine. Afterwards, they checked into their hotel rooms to rest.

Van Son Pagoda (Mount One Pagoda): with its stunning location, visitors can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Con Dao town and the unique lotus lake. Phi Yen Temple: also known as An Son Temple. A sacred place where, for the locals, she is one of the two female spiritual protectors of the island's inhabitants. Visit and learn about the unique pearl farming area in Con Dao. Enjoy swimming at An Hai Beach (or Dam Trau Beach) , one of the most beautiful and pristine beaches in Vietnam.

The group will have dinner at a restaurant. In the evening, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the Con Dao beach or sit in front of the Governor's Residence (right next to the Governor's Palace) enjoying coffee, old music, and the fresh sea breeze… The vehicle will take you to visit Hang Duong Cemetery  , where nearly 2000 graves are buried. Visit the grave of Vo Thi Sau – the first female political prisoner in Con Dao. Light incense at the memorial, visit the graves of martyrs Le Hong Phong, Nguyen An Ninh… Overnight stay in Con Dao.

DAY 2 CON DAO ISLAND – CAN THO(Eat three meals a day)

Guests will have breakfast at the hotel restaurant or buffet. The vehicle and tour guide will accompany guests to continue their journey exploring the majestic Con Dao: The Governor's Residence : the living and working place of the island's governors throughout different periods. Phu Hai Prison: an ancient and long-standing prison built by the French colonialists. It is famous for its solitary confinement area, the Con Lon stone quarry, the rice mill, etc. French-style Tiger Cage: Also known as Phu Tuong Prison, this is the centerpiece of the Con Dao prison complex. Explore the labyrinthine Tiger Cage system and listen to explanations about the physical and mental torture methods used on prisoners. American-style Tiger Cage: Also known as Phu Binh Prison, with concrete cells without sleeping platforms; prisoners had to lie on the cold, damp cement floor, where the air from the earth permeated the air. This place was primarily used for psychological torture. The Cattle Pen Isolation Area: Used for raising cattle during the French and American periods. Here, prisoners were tortured by being immersed in a pit of cow dung.

The group had lunch and tea at the hotel, then moved to Ben Dam port to complete the procedures for the 1:30 PM ferry back to Tran De, Soc Trang, bidding farewell to Con Dao.

Tourists board the bus to return to Can Tho. On the way back, the bus will stop at one or two rest stops for tourists to use the restroom, eat (at their own expense), or buy specialties of the Mekong Delta such as: fermented pork sausage, coconut candy, fruit, etc.

Upon arrival in Can Tho, the tour guide will take the group for lunch and check into the hotel for rest. Guests are free to explore Can Tho night market, take photos at the pedestrian bridge, and enjoy the view at Ninh Kieu Wharf.

DAY 3 CAN THO – TAY DO (Eat two meals)

6:00 AM:  A vehicle will pick you up at the pier. You will board a boat to visit Cai Rang Floating Market – a place specializing in trading fruits and specialties of the Mekong Delta. In the past, floating markets formed because roads and land transportation were underdeveloped, while the need for buying and selling goods led people to gather on the river using boats, canoes, and motorboats. After visiting Cai Rang Floating Market, the boat will take you to visit the traditional noodle-making village of Que Toi to learn about the process of making the famous noodles of Can Tho, the land of "white rice and clear water". You can participate in the noodle-making process and enjoy delicious noodle dishes. Next, the boat will take you to Tay Do Old Town tourist area – an unmissable check-in point for visitors to Tay Do. Here, you'll find a recreation of the old days with barbershops, tailor shops, noodle shops, cafes, etc., sure to provide you with interesting photo opportunities. The boat will then take you to Ba Hiep Ecological Garden , where you'll have the chance to experience life as a farmer in the countryside. You'll receive bicycles to explore the rural roads. You'll stop at the Southern Vietnamese pancake-making experience area: You can try your hand at making pancakes under the guidance of skilled artisans and enjoy them (Cost: 30,000 VND/pancake). Continuing the journey, you'll receive traditional Vietnamese clothing (ba ba) and visit a fruit orchard with ripe and abundant fruits (seasonal). You can also experience the fun of rowing a traditional sampan boat to explore the orchard. Guests can continue their experience of rural farming with activities like "Draining the ditch to catch fish" and "Catching ducks in the pond." Catching fish hiding in the mud and mischievous ducks will be a fun experience for visitors. At 11:30 AM, guests will have lunch at Ba Hiep Garden, sing karaoke, or relax in hammocks, enjoying the peaceful atmosphere of the countryside.

Guests will return to Ba Hiep pier , where the boat will take them to Khoi My stopover point . Guests are free to shop for local specialties and souvenirs to take home as gifts.

The boat will take you back to Ninh Kieu Wharf . The tour guide and boat driver will bid you farewell and hope to see you again.
